Compounding lines
Co-rotating twin-screw extruders for compounding with a high share of fillers and additives.
Compounding lines based on the Comac EBC series of co-rotating twin-screw extruders. The flexible design enables the production of a wide range of technical compounds with high added value, including mineral-filled formulations, glass-fiber-reinforced compounds, bio-compounds and flame retardants. The process is controlled by latest-generation PLC software that monitors all process parameters.
Key features
- EBC co-rotating twin-screw extruders, diameter 53-132 mm
- L/D ratio 24-52 with independently thermoregulated barrel modules
- Capacities from 200 to 6,000 kg/h depending on formulation
- Strand, underwater and water-ring pelletizing designs
- Integration of the compounding stage into existing profile and sheet lines
Typical applications
- Mineral-filled compounds with filler content up to 85%
- Compounds reinforced with glass fibers, glass beads and mixed fillers
- Bio-compounds based on renewable raw materials
- Compounds with flame retardants
